After a few days of our fabulous Elbrus experience, I would like to share my thoughts about it. This has been a total different experience, facing new elements that could make everything more difficult, at least for me, snow, ice, cold, wind…… the use of many new tools for me the same moment, no doubt I was overwhelmed for most part of the summit night, physically I was OK, but mentally overwhelmed. I am a person who likes to have everything on control and that night I control nothing!!!!! I learn how far I am from be a good mountaineer, I learn that I need to walk before I run and I need to train much more in the mountains facing real problems, managing the gear properly. This experience give me lots of perspective and I hope to be better after this.
I would like to thanks your commitment with the Elbrus expedition, I know I am a bit guilty to have you there, but be sure my friend you make the difference, summit night without you? We have no commander, no leader, no motivator and many of us may be don’t make it? without your hard work and experience everything could go wrong. This is why I am not going to Elbrus or Aconcagua without you, and I only can be grateful with you.
